Before opening a Blackcat account, it’s important to understand who can use our services and under what conditions.


Age requirements

  • You can open and use a Blackcat account starting from 16 years old.

  • Access to the Crypto service becomes available only from 18 years old.


Residency rules

  • Citizenship is not a barrier. We accept citizens of all countries.

  • Residency matters. We cannot provide services to residents of countries under EU, UN, or OFAC sanctions.

  • What counts as residency? If your country of residence differs from your country of citizenship, you don’t need to be physically present there at the moment of registration — but you must prove your legal residence status. Accepted documents include:

    • Temporary or permanent residence permit

    • Permanent residence certificate

    • Refugee certificate or equivalent document


Payment card availability

  • Cards are currently available only to residents of the European Economic Area (EEA).

  • The EEA includes all 27 EU countries plus Iceland, Liechtenstein, and Norway.


Cryptocurrency service restrictions

The Crypto service is not available to residents of the following countries:

Afghanistan, Algeria, American Samoa, Bahamas, Bangladesh, Bolivia, Botswana, Cambodia, China, Ecuador, Egypt, Ghana, Iceland, India, Indonesia, Iran, Iraq, Mongolia, Morocco, Nepal, North Korea, Pakistan, Panama, Russia, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Syria, The Republic of Macedonia, Trinidad and Tobago, Vanuatu, Vietnam, Yemen, Zambia, Zimbabwe.
