Who can get a Blackcat card

Blackcat cards are issued only to residents of the European Economic Area (EEA).
The EEA covers all 27 EU countries, plus Iceland, Liechtenstein, and Norway.
Switzerland is not part of the EEA, but may be supported in the future.

Card formats

All Blackcat cards exist in two forms:

  • Virtual card — issued instantly in the app, ready for online use and Apple Pay / Google Pay.

  • Plastic card — delivered to your registered address, works in shops, online, and ATMs.

Both formats are connected to the same account balance and share limits.

Credit-grade classification

Every Blackcat card is a credit-grade Mastercard.
This does not mean you get a credit line — your spending is always limited by the available balance.
But because payment networks treat it as a credit product, it offers broader acceptance than prepaid or debit cards.

This is especially useful for:

  • Hotel reservations

  • Car rentals

  • Services and subscriptions that require a credit card imprint

Core features

No matter the format, all Blackcat cards include:

  • 3D Secure for safer online purchases

  • Worldwide acceptance wherever Mastercard is supported

  • Contactless payments in shops (plastic)

  • Apple Pay and Google Pay integration (virtual and plastic)

  • Cashback and rewards linked to your account balance

Multiple cards per wallet

You can have more than one card at the same time:

  • A Standard Card as your primary payment card

  • Additional cards — such as Kids or Family cards — linked to your account

All cards share account-level daily and monthly limits.
