To open an account with Blackcat, you need to complete a short verification process. This ensures compliance with European regulations and helps us keep your account safe.
Here is the full list of documents we may request during onboarding:
1. Proof of identity
You must provide a valid passport or national ID card issued by your country of citizenship.
The document must be valid and not expired.
It must clearly show your full name, date of birth, photograph, and document number.
2. Address proof
One of the following documents will be accepted (usually not older than 3 months):
Bank statement showing your name and registered address
Utility bill (electricity, gas, water, fixed internet, cable TV, landline) — mobile phone bills are not accepted
Registered residential address certificate (if available in your country)
Official letter from a government body (e.g. municipality, tax authority, land registry)
Resident ID card, residence permit (temporary or permanent)
Lease agreement
Driving license
3. Residency confirmation
If you are a citizen of a non-EEA country but legally reside in the EEA, you must also submit one of the following:
Temporary or permanent residence permit
Long-term visa (Type D)
Any other official certificate confirming your legal right to stay in that country
An identity document issued in your country of residence
This document is not requested during the registration application. It will be requested separately via email upon the completion of the application
